Danville Schools COVID-19 ALERT

Danville Local Schools is committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. We want to inform you that we have been notified of our first positive COVID-19 case in the district, specifically at the high school. We have and will continue to provide the information needed for Knox Public Health to make contact with those who may have been in close personal contact with the positive case.

Danville Local Schools will remain open and continue to follow our district plan. We will continue to work closely with KPH and anyone identified as close personal contact will be notified by KPH as part as the COVID-19 investigation. If you have not been notified by the district or KPH, your student has not been identified as having close contact with the positive case.

We ask that you continue to help reduce the number of positive cases in our district by doing the following:

  • Stay home when sick.
  • Wear a mask or facial covering (properly) when in public.
  • Wash you hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue and dispose of properly and immediately. If tissues are not available, cough or sneeze into your sleeve or elbow.

Thank you for your continued support and stay healthy!
