First, We want to thank our students and families for the outstanding cooperation and efforts to start the year off and keep it moving forward. Now that we are midway through the first quarter, we recognize that we have some improvements to make to be sure we are meeting the needs of all students and calibrate our expectations for ourselves and students as a district. That is why it is necessary for all students to work remotely (at home) on Wednesday, September 23rd. During this time teachers will be reflecting and collaborating with each other in the buildings on strategies to improve remote learning. Student attendance will be counted by the completion of the work assigned for Wednesday.
Student’s in grades 2-12, who have internet access at home will complete their lessons by using Google Classroom (2nd & 3rd) & Schoology (4th-12th). Students with no internet access will need to download their lessons for Wednesday before they leave school on Tuesday. When they return on Thursday, they can submit their completed assignment to the teacher electronically. PK-1 students will be given their assignments on Tuesday to take home and be completed on Wednesday.
Students who choose and sign up will have the opportunity to take a “to-go” breakfast and lunch for Wednesday’s meal home with them when they leave the building on Tuesday. PK-6 students will be receiving a paper survey to sign up for breakfast and or lunch.
Thank you for your continued support!
