133rd Commencement of Danville Local Schools

Categories: Uncategorized

The 133rd commencement of Danville Local Schools is Sunday, May 21st beginning at 4:30. After being forced to hold the commencement ceremony outdoors on the lawn during covid, the students and attendees at that time felt like it was a great place to gather and reflect on their years at Danville Schools. Since then, every class has voted to continue the outdoor experience with the high school facade in the background and walking down the front steps to receive their diploma. Last year the event was moved inside the air-conditioned gymnasium due to the threat of rain. That same protocol or decision will be made on Wednesday prior to the commencement based on the forecast.

The roadway will be blocked off (by buses) beginning at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 21. Four reserved seats will be provided per family, which are set up on the roadway. There will also be 100 extra seats provided on a first come basis. All others are encouraged to bring their own seating and set up on the surrounding roadway and in the Catholic Community Center lot. This can be done anytime after 1:00.

We look forward to seeing everyone there to support the graduates.
