Student Council is looking for old cars or trucks for the homecoming parade on October 3rd. We will need 8 vehicles willing to escort our attendants from the high school to the football field. Construction on the parking lot east of the JH/HS is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 15th. Therefore, there will be no traffic flow and pedestrian access to the lobby/gym on the north end of Serilda Street. Access to the gym for athletic events from the north or catholic center parking lot will be on the west side between the auditorium and gymnasium.
The good news is the new parking lot is planned to be completed by basketball season. Thanks for your patience and cooperation as we complete the construction projects.

Danville students are invited to the Knox County College Fair on September 23rd from 6:30-8:00 at Energy Fieldhouse in Mount Vernon.
"Creating a safe environment so children and educators can focus on learning is the goal of school security and safety. PASS (Partner Alliance for Safer Schools) recommends drills and exercises to accomplish our goals. The Elementary School will conduct a reverse evacuation drill during recess time to educate and test our processes and procedures. The drill will be looked at as a situation that presents an immediate or ongoing danger to the safety of our students during their outdoor recess time. The drill will be low-stress and designed to conduct a "walk-through" test of our procedure and efficiency in safely securing students and staff in the event of a real situation. Our school resource officer, SRO Chase Law, and staff will be present during the drill to assist and evaluate the process of the drill."
