Today's boys and girls JH basketball games with Cardington have been canceled.
Due to icy road conditions, Danville Local Schools will be closed today, Thursday, January 15.
Join us for an evening of Danville's Got Talent this Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 7 pm. Admission is $5.00 per person (kids under 4 are free). All proceeds from this event will go to auditorium improvements to help purchase the new curtains, updated lighting, and sound equipment.

BOE Meeting Location Update:
The BOE meeting scheduled for this evening (1/12/26) will be held in the new addition in room 2102A. This will give the BOE and visitors the opportunity to see the facility.
As of 1:00, Danville Local Schools are no longer on lock down. We are operating as usual for the rest of the day and will dismiss at regularly scheduled times. We encourage parents and guardians to refer to the Safety Plan in your Final Forms account, so you can be prepared for the potential of active threats that directly affect our district in the future.

Due to a potential threat in the county and in an abundance of caution Danville Schools are operating on a level one lockdown. Which means no one should be entering or exiting the buildings until further notice.
Congratulations to our junior high robotics teams who competed at the Pioneer Classic in Elyria on Saturday, January 10th. Team 68671H, 4 Big Guys, finished in 1st place overall, winning the Teamwork Champions Award as well as the Judges Award. They also finished 4th place in skills. Team members include: Will Samples, Easton Looney, Kyler Sanders and Michael Byers.

The Pneumatic Nerds, finished in 7th place overall, 3rd place in skills and won the Create Award. Team members include: Landon Breckler, James Hochstetler and Josh Westrick.

Danville FFA Farmer & Supporter Breakfast is approaching! The breakfast will take place on Monday, February 16th, from 7-9 am in the DHS Lobby. The breakfast will consist of sausage, pancakes, hashbrowns, eggs, fruit and drinks. The breakfast is free, but donations will be accepted. We will also have nuts, bbq sauce and summer sausage left over from our fall sale if anyone is interested as well.

EXCITING NEWS!!!!!
We have been approved by the state to occupy the new addition at the 7-12 building. Starting Thursday , January 8th all access and egress for students and visitors from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (during the school day) will be through the entrance located on Serilda Street and facing the new parking lot. You will no longer be able to access the building during the school day from the front entrance on Rambo Street.
Danville's Got Talent is back on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 7pm in the High School Auditorium. The cost for admission is $5.00. All proceeds from the show will go into the Auditorium Improvement Fund. This fund helps update our current equipment. If you would like to participate, you still have time to enter. Please email Miss Smarrella at jessica.smarrella@danvilleschools.org by this Friday, January 9th, 2026 with your entry. See you there!
7-12 Building Access Update:
Unfortunately, the occupancy permit from the state for the 7-12 building addition has been delayed. Therefore we will continue to use the front doors of the building facing Rambo Street to access the office during the school day until further notice. Although, we do ask that starting tomorrow that all staff and students use the new parking lot as previously communicated.

Danville's Performing Arts Department will be hosting Danville's Got Talent again this year. Please see the attached flyer for information about the show. This year the Performing Arts Department will be using the Talent Show as a fundraiser for Auditorium Improvements.

Danville Robotics had a great day at Roller Coast RoboClash in Sandusky today. All teams have shown amazing growth! The Devil Ducks walked away with 2nd in Teamwork finals and 5th in Skills. The Crazy Kitchen Cabinets 4th in finals and 7th in skills. The Death Burgers were 8th in finals and 19th in skills. The Dynamic Dinos were 10th in finals and 18th in skills. We are so proud of all five teams that competed today! Four of five teams that went made the finals and the fifth team was only one spot away.
