With the addition of the elevator at the high school for accessibility, the district recently added some handicap seating/platform in the high school auditorium. With that, some of the original seats in the auditorium had to be removed and are no longer needed. If you are interested in having a piece of history from the building we are offering these to the community first come, first serve. They come in groups of four. If interested please contact the district office at 740-599-6116, extension 3229 or jason.snively@danvilleschools.org.
Students are encouraged to register before the event or you can register at College Night but it will take a few minutes. There is a barcode to scan that will take you to the registration screen. Once registered, you will get a QR Code to show to the college representatives to exchange information.
In an effort to “preserve the past, promote the present and prepare for the future” the district is initiating an annual “Alumni Weekend” that would take place the Saturday after the Football Homecoming game each year. With traditional alumni reunions being a thing of the past, the district is offering to host a “block party” that would be a time for all years and ages to gather together. This event would take place in the HS parking area which would give direct access to tour the HS building where many memories were made by all alumni.
Please tell us if you would be interested in attending this event and share any suggestions you may have to help bring alumni together on an annual basis. We hope to make this a low stress, low cost event that is easy and convenient for all to attend.
